The Initial Consultation
The Kendall’s house have been through a lot of storm and hail damage when they decided to contact Home General.
They reached us through our website, explained the situation, and asked for our guidance in the home insurance claim process.
We did what we could, helped them with an inspection, and talked with the adjuster and explained the real costs involved.
After a difficult discussion with the adjuster about how he was trying to minimize our client’s payout, our client was finally ready to start.
Here are the biggest problems our client was facing...
Missing siding
Several siding boards flew away, exposing the house wrap to further damage.
Missing sealant
Many of the windows had missing sealant and caulk, and water was seeping through.
Hail damage
Ugly siding
The old siding was damaged in several places and its color was long gone.

The Kendalls first contacted us on September 5th. From then, we had a lot of planning and problem-solving to do.
September
Most of the September we spent guiding our client through the insurance process and discussing with the adjuster. He had to understand the real cost of the job, so our client’s payout was fair.
Oct-Nov
After a lot of emails and back and forth, the insurance carrier approved our client. We started actually planning the project and deciding on materials.
December
Right after Christmas, our client got the Completion Certificate and our warranty. The entire installation took less than a week, and he got a great gift for Christmas: a new-looking home.
