The Initial Consultation
The Boling house had severe storm damage after a tough winter and spring. They filed claim and called Home General while waiting for the insurance adjuster inspection.
Then, we had our initial home consultation where we took pictures, videos, and notes of all the damage.
Working with insurance adjusters is always a hassle as they want to give you the smallest payout when the repairs cost double.
In the end, we managed to help our client through the insurance claiming process and got him the rightful payout.
Here are the biggest problems our client was facing...
Missing siding
Several siding boards flew away, exposing the house wrap to further damage.
Damaged screens
The sunroom windows had damaged screens and they wanted to wrap them.
Hail damage
Damaged shingle
The old shingles have been through a lot of hail and storm damage.
Poor underlayment
We had to install new underlayment to protect the sheathing from further damage.
The Project's Schedule
The Boling family first contacted us in April. We started planning the upgrade and navigating the insurance process with our client.
April-October
From April to October we had to deal with the insurance company and the adjuster to ensure a fair payout for our client. This process is usually cumbersome for homeowners, but we do our best to streamline it.
November
In November we started ordering all the materials required for their project. We ordered the new architectural shingles, the trim, the new window screens, and the gutters.
March
In March, almost a year after our client filed their insurance claim, we finally started the project. We got everything done fast, in just 1 day.
