Part One: Initial Consultation
Drew wanted to transform his home’s look on a small budget.
He was comparing LP SmartSide quotes from another company, and their rep kept playing pricing games.
He had seen our yard signs around his neighborhood, so he called.
Geoff priced LP fairly, then showed him Mastic’s 50-year warranty with hail coverage that LP cannot match, and it fit the budget.
Some Issues With Their Old Exterior Were...
Faded paint
The green paint had gone dull, and Drew wanted to change how the home looked from the street.
Rotted windows
Two master-bedroom frames had rotted, found during siding prep, plus one large front window.
Plain brick garage
Drew wanted stone veneer here, and other contractors would not install it through the brick.
Part Two: The Design & Build Plan
A full exterior change on a tight budget, so we put the money where it shows and lasts.
Materials on site
Mastic siding, Provia windows, and the stone veneer delivered and staged.
Windows first
Replaced the two rotted master-bedroom frames and the large front window with Provia Endure units.
New siding
Wrapped the house in Mastic polymer siding, about 17 squares.
Veneer through brick
Installed dark stone veneer over the existing garage brick, which other crews turned down.
Corner caps
Added a cap at every 2-foot transition so each veneer section ends in a defined edge.
Part Three: The Time Schedule
This one moved fast. Start to finish it was 3 days, though timelines vary by the size of the job.
A quick breakdown of how it went:
- No major surprises, and the crew handled the stone veneer layout and estimating.
- The only judgment call was the corner caps, added without asking, and Drew loved them.
- Drew came away happier on the price and on the whole process, from the first meeting to the finish.
- After the job, Drew painted his existing gutters black himself, which sharpens the look against the white siding.
